BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES September 4, 2018 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton, Norm Childress and Ron Shriner Ed Chosnek, City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Murray moved for approval of the minutes from the August 28, 2018 regular meeting. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS Engineering Permission to Advertise-2018 CDBG Curb, Sidewalk, Drive Approach and Ramp Replacement Project Jeromy Grenard, Public Works Director, presented to the 2018 CDBG Curb, Sidewalk, Drive Approach and Ramp Replacement Project. The publications are set for September 7 & 14, 2018 with a bid opening on September 25, 2018. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed. Purchasing Declaration of Surplus Property-Police Department (Cameras) Dave Payne, Purchasing Manager, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Declaration of Surplus Property for the Police Department that include 3 cameras and a voice recorder. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. Declaration of Worthless Property-Police Department (Furniture, Cameras) Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Declaration of Worthless Property for the Police Department that includes furniture and cameras. Mr. Childress moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. Declaration of Surplus Property-Parks Department Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Declaration of Surplus Property for the Parks Department that includes a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado Pickup Truck VIN#1GCCS196448165657. The truck will be donated to the Lafayette Parks Foundation. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed.
