BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES June 2, 2020 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton, Ron Shriner and Norm Childress Jacque Chosnek, 1st Deputy City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the May 26, 2020 regular meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. BIDS UNDER ADVISEMENT Loeb Stadium-Video Display Board President Henriott stated that this item will remain under advisement. NEW BUSINESS Engineering Recommendation for Award- Haggerty Pointe Storm Sewer Extension Jeromy Grenard, Public Works Director, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Recommendation for Award for the Haggerty Pointe Storm Sewer Extension with F&K Construction for the Base Bid only in the amount of $341,372.00. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed. Final Completion and Acceptance of the 4th Street Water Main Project Mr. Grenard presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Final Completion and Acceptance of the 4th Street Water Main Project with Atlas Excavating. This is for final completion and final payment/release of retainage to Atlas Excavating. The amount of retainage remaining is $19,067.77. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. Lafayette Renew Permission to Advertise-18th and Central Drainage Improvement Project Brad Talley, Renew Superintendent, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Permission to Advertise for the 18th and Central Drainage Improvement Project. The publications are set to run on June 5 and June 12, 2020 with a bid opening on June 23, 2020. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed.
