BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES October 20, 2020 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton and Ron Shriner. Absent: Norm Childress Jacque Chosnek, 1st Deputy City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the October 13, 2020 regular meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS Lafayette Renew Permission to Advertise-RFQ Guaranteed Savings Contract Angela Andrews, Renew Assistant Superintendent, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Permission to Advertise for the RFQ Guaranteed Savings Contract. The publications are set to run on October 23 & 30, 2020 with the quote opening on December 1, 2020. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Tim Clary, Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $2,993,227.04. President Henriott asked a question on Page 10 regarding the N.I.L.E.A. Mr. Clary stated that stands for Northwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. President Henriott asked a question on Page 11 regarding the 3 Ford Explorers purchased. Mr. Clary stated that this was the last purchase of the 17 cars that were scheduled to be purchased for the Police Department. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. MISCELLANEOUS 2021 Holiday Schedule Mrs. Murray presented to the Board and recommended approval of the 2021 Holiday Schedule for the City of Lafayette. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed.
