BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES November 23, 2021 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Norm Childress, Amy Moulton and Ron Shriner. Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the November 16, 2021 regular meeting. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. BID OPENING CAT Park All-Inclusive Sports Field President Henriott stated that there was an Addendum issued to move the Bid Opening date to December 7, 2021. NEW BUSINESS Engineering Addendum #1-Utility Service Agreement for Veteran’s Memorial Parkway (CR 500 East) Jeromy Grenard, Public Works Director, presented to the Board and recommended approval of Addendum #1 for Utility Service Agreement for Veteran’s Memorial Parkway (CR 500 East). This is for Caterpillar Logistics Services Inc/Lafayette Partners One, LLC. The addendum includes the parking lot expansion and leasing a portion of the existing building. This will be an impact on stormwater only. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Jeremy Diehl, Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $5,150,587.34. President Henriott asked a question on Page 16 regarding the Loeb Stadium Water Repellent. Mr. Diehl stated that there was a masonry leaking and a waterproofing coating was applied to prevent future leaks on the entire stadium. Discussion ensued. President Henriott asked a question on Page 16 regarding the GIS Administration Assistance. Mr. Diehl stated that this invoice covers the months of June, July, August and September. Mr. Childress asked a question on Page 19 regarding the Principle and Interest due 2016 Fire Equipment Lease. Mr. Diehl stated that is the last installment for the breathing apparatus lease from 2016. Mr. Childress asked a question on Page 19 regarding the Loeb Stadium Construction with J.R. Kelly Company for $77,986.00. Mr. Diehl stated that they are 100% complete with work and currently paying out for the release of retainage. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded.
