BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES June 7, 2022 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton, Ron Shriner and Norm Childress Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the May 31, 2022 regular meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Jeremy Diehl, Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $3,470,338.97. President Henriott asked Mayor Roswarski for a status update on the solar field and co-generation. Mayor Roswarski stated that the solar fields are now completed at the Pearl River Lift Station and up and running. A ribbon cutting will be soon for that. Mayor Roswarski stated that work for the solar field and co-generation will begin soon at Lafayette Renew. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. MISCELLANEOUS Special Event Request-St. Lawrence Church Eucharistic Procession President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of Special Event Request for the St. Lawrence Church Eucharistic Procession to be held on June 19, 2022 from 12:30pm-1:30pm located on the streets surrounding St. Lawrence Church. Mr. Childress moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. Special Event Request-MatchBox Coworking Studio Block Party Fundraiser Juliana Casavan, Event Representative, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event Request for the MatchBox Coworking Studio Block Party Fundraiser to be held from June 24, 2022 at 12:00noon to June 25, 2022 at 12:00midnight located in on 6th Street from Alabama Street to South Street. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. Banner Request-WREC President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Banner Request for WREC. The banner is to be hung on Columbia Street from July 5-12, 2022. Mr. Childress moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. Board of Public Works and Safety June 7, 2022 Page 2 Taxi Cab Permits Captain Brian Gossard, Police Department, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Taxi Cab Permit for Jason Bixler. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed.
