MINUTES
September 10, 2024
Regular Session:
The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in the
Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton, Eric Rody
and Ron Shriner
Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was also present.
President Henriott called the meeting to order.
The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country.
MINUTES
Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the September 3, 2024 regular meeting. Mrs. Murray
seconded. Passed.
NEW BUSINESS
Engineering
Utility Service Agreement-Faith Christian Athletic Complex
Dave Griffee, Engineering, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Utility Service Agreement for
Faith Christian Athletic Complex for Sanitary Sewer only. This is for a proposed 5+/- acre sports complex site in
Service Area 3A. The complex is located directly north of Faith Christian School Complex on SR 26 and CR
North 550 East. Mr. Griffee stated that the payment has been made. Discussion ensued regarding the use of the
service. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed.
CLAIMS
Jeremy Diehl, Controller, presented for Board approval of Claims in the amount of $8,111,948.62. President
Henriott asked a question on Page 26 regarding the Dixon Construction invoice for Sherwood Drive Street
Patching. Jeromy Grenard, Public Works Director, stated that this invoice is for Dixon Construction to replace the
curb and gutter on both sides of the street. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed.
MISCELLANEOUS
Special Event Request-Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Lucy Hauser, Event Representative, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event
Request for Walk to End Alzheimer’s to be held on September 21, 2024 from 5:00am-4:00pm at Riehle Plaza and
the John T. Myers Bridge. Ms. Hauser gave the Board a brief description of the fundraising efforts. Mrs. Moulton
moved for approval. Mr. Rody seconded. Passed.

Special Event Request-Cops and Goblins Trunk or Treat
MK Riehle, Event Representative, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event Request
for Cops and Goblins Trunk or Treat to be held on October 26, 2024 from 12:00pm-4:30pm located on 6th Street
between South Street and Columbia Street. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed.
