May 13, 2025
Regular Session:
The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in the
Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton and Ron
Shriner. Absent: Eric Rody
Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was present.
President Henriott called the meeting to order.
The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country.
MINUTES
Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the May 6, 2025 regular meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded.
Passed.
BIDS UNDER ADVISEMENT
Prairie Oaks Force Main Permanent Bypass Project
President Henriott stated that this item will remain under advisement.
NEW BUSINESS
Purchasing
Declaration of Surplus Property-Fire Department
Dave Payne, Purchasing Director, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Declaration of Surplus
Property for Purchasing Department that includes a 2016 Kyocera TaskAlfa 306ci VIN#V7E642011
multifunction printer. Mr. Payne stated that the item will be sold on GovDeals.com. Mr. Shriner moved for
approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed.
Declaration of Surplus Property-Police Department
Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Declaration of Surplus Property for the Police
Department that includes 12 GoGroove SonaVERSE UBR Serial#N/A. Mr. Payne stated that the item will be sold
on GovDeals.com. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed.
Declaration of Surplus Property-Information Technology
Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Declaration of Surplus Property for
Information Technology that includes a Logic Supply ML100-50-32112 Industrial Computer Serial#U686082.
Mr. Payne stated that the item will be sold on GovDeals.com. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton
seconded. Passed.

Jeremy Diehl, Controller, presented for Board approval of Claims in the amount of $2,232,825.40. President
Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs.
Moulton seconded. Passed.
MISCELLANEOUS
Special Event Request-Yoga on the Bridge
President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event Request for Yoga on the
Bridge to be held on various dates from May to September located on the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge. Mrs.
Murray moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed.
Special Event Request-Bistro 501 Lobster Bake
Mary Buckley, Event Representative, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event
Request for the Bistro 501 Lobster Bake to be held on June 10, 2025 from 5:30pm-10:00pm located on 5th Street
from Main Street to Columbia Street. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed.
Special Event Request-Match Box Coworking Studio Fundraiser
President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event Request for Match Box
Coworking Studio Fundraiser to be held on July 11, 2025 from 7:00pm-11:00pm located on 6th Street between
Alabama Street and South Street. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed.
Banner Request-BAGL Construction Expo
President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Banner Request for BAGL
Construction Expo to be hung across Columbia Street from December 9-23, 2025. Mrs. Moulton moved for
approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed.
Banner Request-Stars and Stripes
Mrs. Murray presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Banner Request for Stars and Stripes to be
hung across Columbia Street from June 24-July 8, 2025. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Shriner
seconded. Passed.
