BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES July 29, 2025 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton and Eric Rody. Absent: Ron Shriner Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the July 22, 2025 regular meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS Engineering Utility Service Agreement-Bex Farms, Inc Ms. Chosnek stated that this item will be tabled until next week. Mr. Rody moved to table this item. Mrs. Murray seconded. Tabled. Addendum #1-Utility Service Agreement-Bex Farms, Inc Ms. Chosnek stated that this item will be tabled until next week. Mr. Rody moved to table this item. Mrs. Murray seconded. Tabled. Purchasing Permission to Advertise-Microsoft Software Licensing 2025 Dave Payne, Purchasing Director, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Permission to Advertise for the Microsoft Software Licensing 2025. Mr. Payne stated that this is a 3-year license. The publications are set to run on August 1 and 8, 2025 with the bid opening on August 19, 2025. Mr. Payne answered questions from the Board regarding the need to put this type of request out for the bidding process. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. Declaration of Surplus Property-Police Department Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Declaration of Surplus Property for the Police Department that includes a 2020 Ford Explorer VIN# 1FM5K8ABXLGD08105 City ID# 20-31 Capital Asset# 0002184. Mr. Payne stated that this vehicle was involved in a crash and has been determined to be a total loss. The vehicle will be transferred to the insurance company in the settlement of this case. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. Board of Public Works and Safety July 29, 2025 Page 2 Declaration of Surplus Property-Information Technology Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Declaration of Surplus Property for the Information Technology Department that includes a 2009 Dell Monitor Model: 178Fpf Serial Number# 96J132U. Mr. Payne stated that this item will be sold on GovDeals.com. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Jeremy Diehl, Controller, presented for Board approval of Claims in the amount of $5,889,628.94. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. MISCELLANEOUS Special Event Request-Lafayette Fire Support 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser Kara Webb, Event Representative, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event Request for the Lafayette Fire Support 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser to be held on September 13, 2025 from 7:00am-11:00am at Fire Station 5, Munger Park and McCaw Park. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. Banner Request-German Fest President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Banner Request for German Fest to be hung on Columbia Street from August 19-September 2, 2025. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed.
