BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES August 26, 2025 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton, Eric Rody and Ron Shriner Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the August 19, 2025 regular meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. QUOTE OPENING Renew 2025 Digester Interior Sealing Project This being the time set to open quotes for the Board of Public Works and Safety for the Renew 2025 Digester Interior Sealing Project the following quotes were received and opened: No Quotes were received NEW BUSINESS Purchasing Recommendation for Award- Microsoft Software Licensing 2025 Dave Payne, Purchasing Director, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Recommendation for Award for the Microsoft Software Licensing 2025 Project with SoftChoice Corporation for a 3-year enterprise in the amount of $825,078.33 that will be paid annually in installments. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mr. Rody seconded. Passed. Engineering Demolition Contract-2690 Poland Hill Road, Lafayette Jeromy Grenard, Public Works Director, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Demolition Contract for 2690 Poland Hill Road, Lafayette with Crowl Earthwork LLC in the amount of $18,000.00. Three quotes were received by Poisel Construction in the amount of $21,050.00, Snyder Trucking in the amount of $33,000.00 and Crowl Earthwork in the amount of $18,000.00. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Legal Counsel 2025 City of Lafayette Opiod Settlement Grant Distribution RFA Mayor Roswarski presented to the Board and recommended approval of the 2025 City of Lafayette Opiod Settlement Grant Distribution RFA. Mayor Roswarski went over the details of the allocation of funding, programs of interest, and the timeline of the process. Ms. Chosnek stated that the Board approves the authorization of the release for the Request for Applications. Discussion ensued. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Jeremy Diehl, Controller, presented for Board approval of Claims in the amount of $5,974,548.03. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. MISCELLANEOUS Special Event Request-MDA Fill the Boot Chris Conklin, Event Representative, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event Request for MDA Fill the Boot to be held on September 5-7, 2025 from 8:00am-5:00pm located at each Fire Station in the City of Lafayette. Mr. Conklin stated that last year the event raised nearly $36,000.00. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed.
