BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES September 16, 2025 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton and Ron Shriner. Absent: Eric Rody Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the September 9, 2025 regular meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS Engineering Contract-2025 Small Concrete Projects Jeromy Grenard, Public Works Director, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Contract for the 2025 Small Concrete Projects with Dixon Construction in the amount of $87,954.00. Mr. Grenard stated that the quotes were opened last week, and it was determined that Dixon Construction to be the lowest responsive quote. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. Notice to Proceed-2025 Small Concrete Projects Mr. Grenard presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice to Proceed for the 2025 Small Concrete Projects that is set to start today. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Jeremy Diehl, Controller, presented for Board approval of Claims in the amount of $1,223,050.67. President Henriott asked a question on Page 18 regarding the Hoosier Fire Equipment invoices for Hoses Fire. The Fire Chief, Brian Alkire, stated these fire hoses need replaced every 15-20 years and that is what these invoices are for. President Henriott asked a question on Page 20 regarding the Kelly Landscaping Inc invoice for Mowing Violation-Bush Hog. Mr. Diehl stated that this parcel received a mowing violation, and the City had to go out and mow the property with a bush hog. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed.
