BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES September 23, 2025 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Eric Rody, Cindy Murray, and Ron Shriner. Absent: Amy Moulton and Gary Henriott Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was present. Mrs. Murray called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mr. Shriner moved for approval of the minutes from the September 16, 2025 regular meeting. Mr. Rody seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS Police Department Permanent Supportive Housing Rental Assistance Contract 2025 Amanda Ferguson, Homeless & Community Outreach Liaison with the Lafayette Police Department, presented to the Board and recommended approval of the Permanent Supportive Housing Rental Assistance Contract 2025 with the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority. Ms. Ferguson stated that the contract will provide continuance of rental assistance for persons who are certified as chronically homeless with a co-existing disability, such as mental illness, substance abuse and/or HIV/AIDS. The contract sets aside $319,272.98 in rental assistance for the next year. Ms. Ferguson stated that the program year for this contract will be a 13-month period instead of the normal 12-month period. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mr. Rody seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Jeremy Diehl, Controller, presented for Board approval of Claims in the amount of $5,476,716.13. Mrs. Murray asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed.
