MINUTES OF THE LAFAYETTE COMMON COUNCIL October 26, 2023 Special MEETING The Common Council of the City of Lafayette, Indiana met in special session Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 5:00 pm. In the Common Council Chamber at 20. N 6th Street. President Pro-Tem Snyder called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. Present: Klinker, Nargi, Reynolds, Hession Weiss, Downing and Snyder Absent: Ahlersmeyer, Brown, Weast-Williamson, 1st Deputy Clerk Mindy Miller Riehle and City Attorney Jacque Chosnek were present. The 1st Deputy Clerk read Ratification of Adoption of Ordinance 2023-44 (2024 GLPTC Budget, An Ordinance Appropriating Money for the Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Corporation as Required Pursuant to Indiana Code 6-J1.1-17-20) and Amended Form 4 by title only on second and final reading. Councilmember Klinker moved for passage. Councilmember Hession Weiss seconded. Jeremy Diehl, Controller the ordinance is before the council to correct a clerical error on the Form 4, On October 19th an area on the form 4 was improperly populated. Mr. Diehl presented a corrected form 4 with the following information: Special Transportation Fund Adopted Budget $18,623,555-Adopted Tax Levy $2,973,576 and Adopted Tax Rate 0.0496 Special Transportation Cumulative Fund Adopted Budget $500,000-Adopted Tax Levy $453,368 and Adopted Tax Rate 0.0060. Mr. Diehl requested council approval and noted Bryan Smith, GLPTC Director and Joanne Zhang, CFO are present and available for questions. Ratification passed 5-0 on a roll call vote. There was no public commend Councilmember Reynolds moved to adjourn; Councilmember Snyder seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 5:05 PM
