JOINT PURCHASING BOARD December 14, 2015 The Joint Purchasing Board met on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Board of Public Works and Safety room, 20 North 6th Street, Lafayette City Hall. Present were: Tom Murtaugh, Mayor Roswarski, Cindy Murray and Bob Plantenga. Also present were: Rick Morrissey, City of Lafayette Purchasing Agent Mayor Roswarski called the meeting to order. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Mr. Murtaugh moved for approval of the minutes from the November 30, 2015 meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Motion carried. Recommendation for Award-Gravel, Sand, Limestone & Soils + Ready Mix Crushed Limestone Rick Morrissey, Purchasing Manager, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to U.S. Aggregates, Hanson Material Service, Harsco Metals and Aggregates and Whitesville Mill Service as suppliers for the referenced aggregate. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply and to be advised that Harsco and Whitesville are bidding their commodities other than for natural aggregate. Mr. Plantenga moved for approval. Mr. Murtaugh seconded. Motion carried. Gravel Aggregates Mr. Morrissey presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to U.S. Aggregates, Purdy Materials, Harsco Metals and Aggregates and Whitesville Mill Service as suppliers for the referenced aggregate. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply and to be advised that Harsco and Whitesville are bidding their commodities other than for natural aggregate. Mr. Murtaugh moved for approval. Mr. Plantenga seconded. Motion carried. Ready Mix Products Mr. Morrissey presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to Purdy Concrete and Prairie Materials as suppliers for the referenced product. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply and to be advised of the extra charges imposed by Prairie Materials. Discussion ensued regarding the surcharge and load charges from Prairie Materials. Mr. Plantenga moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Motion carried. Soils Mr. Morrissey presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to Purdy Materials as quoted for Soils in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply. Mr. Murtaugh moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT There was none. With no further business to come before the Board, Mr. Plantenga moved to adjourn.
