JOINT PURCHASING BOARD March 20, 2018 The Joint Purchasing Board met on Tuesday, March 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Board of Public Works and Safety room, 20 North 6th Street, Lafayette City Hall. Present were: Cindy Murray, Robert Plantenga, Mayor Roswarski and Tom Murtaugh Also present were: Dave Payne, City of Lafayette Purchasing Manager Mayor Roswarski called the meeting to order. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Mr. Murtaugh moved for approval of the minutes from the March 5, 2018 meeting. Mr. Plantenga seconded. Motion Carried. NEW BUSINESS Recommendation for Award- 2017 Asphalt and Bituminous-Coated Aggregate Dave Payne, Purchasing Manager, recommended approval of the Recommendation for Award of the Asphalt and Bituminous-Coated Aggregate to all bidders which include Asphalt Materials, Central Paving, Marathon Petroleum, Milestone Contractors and Rieth-Riley. It is in the best interest of both government agencies to seek the supplier with the lowest bid first and with consideration based on availability. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Murtaugh seconded. Motion Carried. Mr. Payne stated that the bid form for 2018 only had one area for delivery so Milestone Contractors submitted a bid for both a Tippecanoe County delivery price and a City of Lafayette delivery price. Mr. Payne stated that Milestone went ahead and withdrew their bid for the City of Lafayette price. Mr. Payne stated that Marathon Petroleum also withdrew their page from the bid. PUBLIC COMMENT There was none. With no further business to come before the Board, Mrs. Murray moved to adjourn. Mr. Murtaugh seconded. Motion carried.
