BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES March 20, 2018 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Norm Childress, Dawn Ross and Ron Shriner. Jacque Chosnek, 1st Deputy City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Murray moved for approval of the minutes from the March 13, 2018 regular meeting. Mrs. Ross seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS Engineering Permission to Advertise-Breckenridge Street Reconstruction and Crosser Sports Complex Parking Lot Bob Foley, Engineering, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Permission to Advertise the Breckenridge Street Reconstruction and Crosser Sports Complex Parking Lot. Mr. Foley stated that there was a scrivener’s error on the bid opening date of April 10, 2019. It needs to read April 10, 2018. Mr. Foley questioned whether this change would impact the publication schedule and bid opening date. Mrs. Chosnek advised having the Clerk’s Office try to get the date changed prior to both publication runs. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mr. Childress moved for approval. Passed. Addendum #2-Aggreement for Utility Service Agreement for 52 South Industrial Subdivision Phase 3- ICHIYA LLC-All State Fastener Mr. Foley presented to the Board and recommended approval of Addendum #2 for the Agreement for Utility Service Agreement for the 52 South Industrial Subdivision Phase 3-ICHIYA LLC for All State Fastener. Mr. Foley stated that there is a scrivener’s error on Page 4 where Liquid Springs needs to be changed to All State Fastener. Mr. Foley stated that they have provided a check for cost recovery fees in the amount of $50,701.00. Mrs. Ross moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed. Purchasing Declaration of Worthless Property-Police Department Dave Payne, Purchasing Manager, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Declaration of Worthless Property for the Police Department that includes a Marksman ALL Handheld Radar Unit, Serial #005257 ACCO Brands Paper Shredder, Serial #UB03333H. Mr. Payne stated that both items are inoperable and repairs are not feasible. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. Board of Public Works and Safety March 20, 2018 Page 2 CLAIMS Mike Jones, Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $3,302,544.59. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mr. Childress moved for approval. Mrs. Ross seconded. Passed.
