JOINT PURCHASING BOARD December 10, 2020 The Joint Purchasing Board met on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 9:30a.m. in the Common Council Chambers, 20 North 6th Street, Lafayette City Hall. Present were: Mayor Roswarski, Bob Plantenga, and Cindy Murray. Absent: Tom Murtaugh Also present were: Dave Payne, City of Lafayette Purchasing Agent Mayor Roswarski called the meeting to order. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Mr. Plantenga moved for approval of the minutes from the December 3, 2020 meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS Recommendation for Award-Gravel, Sand, Limestone & Soils + Ready Mix Crushed Limestone Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to U.S. Aggregates Delphi Plant and Lehigh Hanson Materials Monon Plant & Francesville Plant as the supplier for the referenced aggregate. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply and travel time considerations. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Plantenga seconded. Motion carried. Gravel Aggregates Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to U.S. Aggregates Swisher Plant and Purdy Materials, Inc. as suppliers for the referenced aggregate. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply and travel time considerations. Mr. Plantenga moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Motion carried. Ready Mix Products Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to U.S. Aggregates Swisher Plant, Irving Materials, Inc and Purdy Materials, Inc. as the suppliers for the referenced product. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply and travel time considerations. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Plantenga seconded. Motion carried. Soils Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to Purdy Materials, Inc. as the supplier for the referenced project. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply and travel time considerations. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Plantenga seconded. Motion carried. ANNOUNCEMENTS Mr. Payne stated that the Board has approved a permission to advertise for State Road Salt QPA. Mr. Payne stated that he goes into the state website to enter in the volume commitment for the 5 entities that bid all Joint Purchasing Board December 10, 2020 Page 2 together. The state is asking that each entity go onto the site to enter their own commitment. This will help with billing and delivery issues. Mr. Payne stated that this will be the way things will be handled going forward. PUBLIC COMMENT There was none. With no further business to come before the Board, Mr. Plantenga moved to adjourn.
