• Security Director, Kurt Wolfe informed the Board of the hiring of the Assistant Security
Director, Michael Jones, who will start tomorrow working the evening shift.

Center’s Spring Celebration and final Winter Market. Thirty vendors attended and more
than seventy-five craft packets were given out to attending children. Summer Camp
registration numbers at McAllister have started strong with 278 signed up to date.
Seasonal hiring has been a challenge. McAllister’s first Mother Son Date Night will be
held on May 13 with fun activities like laser tag and board games. Ms. Haville also
shared that ticket sales for the upcoming Air Supply concert at Loeb Stadium have
exceeded 2100.
• Zoo Director, Neil Dale provided details of a successful opening day. Gift shop sales
were robust, and tickets for feeding the goats and train rides numbered 397 and 443
respectively. The penguins put on a great show. The mosquito abatement systems are in
place. Zoo Summer Camps are almost full. Schools on Safari start tomorrow with 270
scheduled.
• Director of Operations Jon Miner provided an aquatics update. A lifeguard certification
class was just completed with 16/20 becoming certified. At this point we have fifty-four
lifeguards hired. Seasonal hiring is slow across the board. Maintenance staff is doing
repairs in the pump houses and power washing. The bathroom floors at Vinton pool are
