MINUTES OF THE LAFAYETTE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MEETING November 15, 2018 11:00 am Board of Works Room, City Hall ATTENDANCE COMMISSIONERS: Donald Teder, Jim Terry, T.J. Thieme, Shelly Henriott, Jos Holman EX-OFFICIO MEMBERS: Dave Moulton CITY OF LAFAYETTE OFFICIALS: Cindy Murray, Clerk; Tony Roswarski, Mayor STAFF: Mike Jones, City Controller; Tim Clary, Deputy City Controller; Dennis Carson, Economic Development Director; John Collier, Asst. Economic Development Director GUESTS: Greg Balsano, Umbaugh; Jason Semler, Umbaugh; Heather James, Ice Miller Welcome and Call to Order President Don Teder welcomed everyone to the meeting, noted that a quorum was present, and opened the meeting of the Lafayette Redevelopment Commission at 11:00 a.m. Approval of the Minutes Jos Holman moved to approve the minutes of the Redevelopment Commission meeting from October 25, 2018. Jim Terry seconded and the motion passed. New Business: Resolution No. LRC 2018-13: Pledging Tax Increment for Star Crossing Project – This is the next step in the process for support of the Star Crossing project. This resolution asks the Commission to pledge the tax increment generated from the project and in the Consolidated Creasy/Central TIF to the repayment of the Economic Development Bond for the project. As an economic development project and bond, the Lafayette Economic Development Commission will meet December 3rd at 5:30 p.m. to consider the bond itself and it will also be considered that night at the City Council meeting. Jos Holman moved to recommend approval of the pledge for tax increment from the project in the Consolidated Creasy/Central TIF to the repayment of the Economic Development Bond for the project. T.J. Thieme seconded the motion and the motion passed. Director’s Report Director Carson gave a brief update on the Tippecanoe County Housing Strategy. Wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. November 2018 Claims TJ Thieme moved to approve the claims in the amount of Three hundred forty thousand, five hundred, and ninety-eight dollars and ninety-nine cents ($340,598.99). Shelly Henriott seconded and the motion passed. Public Comment President Teder asked for any comments from the public; no comments were made. Adjournment Jim Terry moved to adjourn the meeting.
