TIPPECANOE COUNTY LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSE FINANCING BOARD October 30, 2018 The Tippecanoe County Local Environmental Response Financing Board met on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 1:42 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of Lafayette City Hall. Present were: David Byers, John Dennis, Lon Heide and Zach Beasley. Absent: Kevin Underwood and Tony Roswarski Tony Benton, Attorney from Stuart & Branigin, was also present. MINUTES Mr. Dennis moved to approve the minutes of the July 31, 2018 meeting as submitted. Mr. Beasley seconded. Motion carried. READING AND SIGNING OF CLAIMS The following Claims (all with attached documentation) were presented to the Board for payment:  A claim from Keramida Environmental for consulting services in the amount of $22,476.98. Mr. Beasley moved for approval. Mr. Dennis seconded. Motion Carried.  A claim from Keramida Environmental for consulting services in the amount of $14,332.95. Mr. Beasley moved for approval. Mr. Dennis seconded. Motion Carried.  A claim from Keramida Environmental for consulting services in the amount of $12,027.25. Mr. Beasley moved for approval. Mr. Dennis seconded. Motion Carried.  A claim from Stuart & Branigin for services provided in the amount of $200.00. Mr. Beasley moved for approval. Mr. Dennis seconded. Motion Carried.  A claim from Stuart & Branigin for services provided in the amount of $1,959.60. Mr. Beasley moved for approval. Mr. Dennis seconded. Motion Carried.  A claim from Stuart & Branigin for services provided in the amount of $4,990.30. Mr. Beasley moved for approval. Mr. Dennis seconded. Motion Carried.  A claim from Waste Management for services provided in the amount of $15,456.74. Mr. Beasley moved for approval. Mr. Dennis seconded. Motion Carried. REPORTS Keramida Vicki Keramida, Keramida, stated that the landfill site is doing fine. The groundwater report that is being finished up shows that everything is running smoothly. There are no repairs that need to be done at this time. Mrs. Keramida stated that the new Project Manager for IDEM is Jennifer Fliss and will be working with Keramida going forward. Mrs. Keramida also stated that an official notice will be sent out soon regarding the newly assigned Project Manager with the EPA. Once that person is named Keramida and Stuart & Branigin will be reaching out to that person for a meeting. Mrs. Keramida had nothing to report on the solar project at this time. Legal Tony Benton stated that he had a follow up discussion with Johnson Melloh with the final takeaway that this is an issue for the County and has not heard anything since then. OLD BUSINESS There was none. NEW BUSINESS Mr. Byers presented to the Board and recommended approval of the 2019 TERF Board Calendar. Mr. Dennis moved for approval. Mr. Beasley seconded. Motion Carried. PUBLIC COMMENT There was none. ADJOURN With no further business to come before the Board, Mr. Dennis moved to adjourn. Mr. Heide seconded. Motion carried.
