Summary: The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has made recommendations regarding gatherings to help prevent the spread and transmission of COVID-19. The existing Emergency Services Disaster Agency and Operations Plan have been revised to reflect these recommendations. Recommended Action: Motion to approve Ordinance No. 2020-O-09 “An Ordinance Amending Title 1 of the Village of Lake Barrington Municipal Code (Re: Chapter 13, “Emergency Services Disaster Agency and Operations Plan”) B. Summary: President Richardson signed a Declaration of Disaster and Local State of Emergency on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. The Declaration activates the Emergency Management Plan of the Village. Recommended Action: Motion by the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Lake Barrington to consent to the continuation of the Declaration of Disaster and State of Emergency ordered and declared by the Village President, Kevin C. Richardson on March 17, 2020, until such state of emergency is terminated by President Richardson or by action of the Board of Trustees. C. Summary: The Village has nearly 200 businesses that are annually required to obtain a business license. With the significant impact COVID-19 is having on businesses and restaurants, it is suggested the Village reduce the business license fee 50%, and extend the deadline for payment of all licensing fees until May 31, 2020. Recommended Action: Motion to reduce the Village of Lake Barrington Page 1 of 2  annual business license fee for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2020, from $100.00 to $50.00, and to extend the deadline for payment of the required fees for all Business licenses for such fiscal year to May 31, 2020.
