AGENDA
1. CALL TO ORDER: 6:00 P.M.

3. PUBLIC COMMENTS
State law, RCW 42.17A.555, does not allow the use of public facilities to promote or oppose
ballot measures. Promoting or opposing the City’s levy lid lift ballot measure during a
council meeting would be the use of a public facility in violation of state law. This includes
comments made during the Public Comment section of a Council meeting. The statute,
however, does not limit your ability to support or oppose a ballot measure on your own time
using your own resources.
The Committee is not accepting online public comments. This portion of the agenda is set
aside for the public to address the Committee on agenda items. However, the Committee may not
respond to comments from the public. If the comments are of a nature that the Committee does not
have influence or control over, then the Chair or presiding officer may request the speaker suspend
their comments. Comments are limited to a three (3) minute time limit.
