1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Sheehy called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Mayor led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. ROLL CALL
Present: 7- Mayor Cal Sheehy, Councilmember Nancy Campbell,
Councilmember Michele Lin, Councilmember Jeni Coke,
Councilmember Jim Dolan, Councilmember David Lane and
Vice Mayor Cameron Moses
*Councilmember Jeni Coke was present via remote conferencing.
4. PUBLIC HEARINGS
4.1 ID 24-4282 Adopt Resolution No. 24-3777 Declaring and Adopting the Official Canvass of the
Results of the Primary Election Held on July 30, 2024 (Kelly Williams)
City Clerk Kelly Williams advised that on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, Lake Havasu City held
a Primary Election for the purpose of nominating three (3) Councilmembers for the
November 5, 2024, General Election. She noted that on Thursday, August 8, 2024, the
Mohave County Board of Supervisors canvassed and declared the July 30, 2024, Primary
Election returns official by Mohave County Board of Supervisors Resolution No.
2024-133.
Ms. Williams read the official results of the Lake Havasu City Primary Election as follows:
The total number of ballots cast in the Lake Havasu City Primary Election was 14,207.
Total votes cast for Office of Councilmember:

Ms. Williams stated that any candidate who receives at the Primary Election a number of
votes constituting a majority of all votes cast shall be declared to be elected to the office
for which that person is a candidate effective as of the date of the General Election.
Mayor Sheehy opened the public hearing.
Ms. Bonny Toy, citizen, addressed the council inquiring on the voter turnout in the
Primary Election. Mayor Sheehy responded that more information regarding the Primary
Election results for Mohave County could be found by contacting the Mohave County
Elections Department.
Mr. Don Wisdom, citizen, addressed the council and congratulated the elected candidates.
There being no further comments, Mayor Sheehy closed the public hearing.
Councilmember Lane moved to adopt Resolution No. 24-3777 accepting the results of the
July 30, 2024, Primary Election as presented, canvassed, and declared official by the
Mohave County Board of Supervisors by their Resolution No. 2024-133, seconded by
Vice Mayor Moses.
Ms. Williams said based on the certification of the Official Canvass of the July 30, 2024,
Lake Havasu City Primary Election results, it is found, determined, and declared of record
that Nancy Campbell, David Diaz, and Cameron Moses were elected to the Office of
Councilmember in and for Lake Havasu City and are hereby issued a Certificate of
Election.
Ms. Williams said based on the certification of the Official Canvass of the July 30, 2024,
Lake Havasu City Primary Election results, it is found, determined, and declared of record
that all seats were filled in the Primary Election and that a General Election will not be
held on November 5, 2024.

She added that all successful candidates in the Primary Election would take office on
November 26, 2024.
Councilmember Lane moved to adopt Resolution No. 24-3777 accepting the results
of the July 30, 2024, Primary Election as presented, canvassed, and declared official
by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors by their Resolution No. 2024-133,
seconded by Vice Mayor Moses, and carried by the following vote:

Councilmember Coke, Councilmember Dolan, Councilmember

Ms. Williams said based on the certification of the Official Canvass of the July 30, 2024,

that Nancy Campbell, David Diaz, and Cameron Moses were elected to the Office of
Councilmember in and for Lake Havasu City and are hereby issued a Certificate of
Election.

Lake Havasu City Primary Election results, it is found, determined, and declared of record
that all seats were filled in the Primary Election and that a General Election will not be
held on November 5, 2024.
She added that all successful candidates in the Primary Election would take office on
November 26, 2024.
5. ADJOURN
Upon motion by Councilmember Lane, and seconded, the meeting adjourned at 5:11 p.m.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full and true copy of the Special Meeting Minutes of
the Lake Havasu City Council held on the 13th day of August, 2024. I further certify that
the meeting was duly called and posted, and that a quorum was present.
