City Commission Pre-agenda Workshop

MINUTES CITY OF LAKE WORTH BEACH CITY COMMISSION PRE-AGENDA WORKSHOP VIA ZOOM FRIDAY, JANUARY 16 - 9:00 AM The meeting was called to order by Mayor Betty Resch on the above date at 9:00 AM on Zoom in Lake Worth Beach. ROLL CALL: Present were ^4ayor Betty Resch, Vice Mayor Sarah Malega and Commissioners Christopher McVoy, Mimi May and Anthony Segrich. Also present were Interim City Manager Jamie Brown, City Attorney Elizabeth Lenihan and City Clerk Melissa Ann Coyne. UPDATES/ FUTURE ACTION / DIRECTION: Action: Consensus to add a Proclamation for the Early Learning Council to the January 20 meeting. Commissioner McVoy to provide proclamation information to the Commission to decide for a future meeting. Action: Consensus to schedule a special meeting to address immigration issues in the City. Commissioner McVoy to bring back a plan after which the item would be scheduled on a regular agenda. Mayor Resch left the meeting at 9:28 AM; Vice Mayor Malega assumed the gavel. Action: Consensus to congratulate the Lake Worth High School ROTC by proclamation or letter. Action: Consensus to have the following proclamations on the February 3 agenda: 2-1-1 Awareness week, Black History month and Lord's Place March to end homelessness awareness day. Action: Consensus for the Leisure Services department to add all events to commission calendars.
