APPROVED VILLAGE OF LAKE ZURICH TREE COMMISSION 505 Telser Road, Lake Zurich May 4, 2010 at 7:00 PM 1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL - The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Scott Garrison at 7 PM. Present were Chairman Garrison, Members Tony Harper, Mary Kozub, and Shawn Walkington. 2. PUBLIC COMMENT - None. 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Commissioner Kozub motioned to accept the April 13, 2010 meeting minutes. Commission Garrison seconded. Voice vote, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED. 4. NEW MEMBER UPDATE - Commissioner Garrison discussed the interviews of all the applicants. Mayor Branding and Chairman Garrison chose Toni Rey and James Mihelic to be new members of the Commission. The Commssion agreed on the appointment of new members. 5. NATURAL OPEN SPACE – Commissioner Kozub is going to put together packet of all info from past meetings and E-mails on natural open space for next meeting. Commissioner Walkington will bring Zoning Map for next meeting. Commissioner Harper will compose document on the benefits of Natural Open Space. 6. NEW BUSINESS - A. June Meeting- Commissioner Harper made a motion to change June 1st meeting to June 8, 2010 seconded by Commissioner Kozub. Voice vote, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED B. Thank You Letter – Commissioner Garrison Composed a letter to Arlington Cemetery for the Plaque for Al Froehde. A stone is being donated that the Plaque will be attached to and placed by the memorial tree. C. Arbor Day- Commissioner Garrison would like to see better planned Arbor Day and Commission will work on proposal for next years Arbor Day. 7. ADJOURNMENT – MOTION was made by Commissioner Garrison, seconded by Commissioner Harper, to adjourn the meeting. Voice vote, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
