APPROVED VILLAGE OF LAKE ZURICH TREE COMMISSION 505 Telser Road, Lake Zurich August 3, 2010 7:00 PM A. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Scott Garrison at 7 PM B. ROLL CALL-Present were Chairman Garrison, Members Tony Harper, Mary Kozub, Toni Rey, Jim Mihelic and Liaison Shawn Walkington. C. PUBLIC COMMENT- There was no public comment. D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Commissioner Harper motioned to accept the May 4, 2010 meeting minutes. Commission Rey seconded. Voice vote, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED. E. OLD BUSINESS – Wal-Mart plan review – Commissioner Kozub made a motion to reject plan due to lack of species diversification. Commissioner Harper Second all were in favor. F. NATURAL OPEN SPACE – Chairmen Garrison invited Mayor Branding to discuss Natural Open Space Ordinance. Commission and Mayor talked on what is natural open space and where it would apply. Mayor Branding is going to contact the Village Attorney on some of the legal questions. Commission is going to consider areas to make Natural Open Space to take before the Plan Commission. Chairmen Garrison motioned to table Items G and H until the next meeting in September. Commissioner Harper second, all in favor. I. NEW BUSINESS - Plan Review Smalley Steel Ring- Plan was rejected as there was no landscape plan. J. ADJOURNMENT – MOTION was made by Commissioner Kozub, seconded by Commissioner Harper, to adjourn the meeting. Voice vote, AYES have it.
