Stephanie Whitman Dr. Linda Yost Alice Swett - Council Liaison Florence Duffek Health Department, New Address: The Health Department has moved upstairei in the old Library with the Planning Department. The same P.0. Box and phone number are still used. Food Program: A Risk Based prOCl+'am WAS discussed as the Health Departmentas major goal in the next couple of years. This program would allow the high risk establishments to be inspected more often than the low risk establishments. l'losquito Program: A copy of the 1993 Mosquito Annual Report was presented 'to the board. The Board vas brou:lht up to date on the status of the Laramie t'losquito Control program as well as the future goals of the program. The "Not in my Backyard" and the "No Spray" program were discussed as one of the major goals in this years mosquito program. Junk, Junked Vehicle, Garbage, Nuisance: Jennifer Rucinski filled the position of Assistant Sanitarian for the City of Laramie. The program is progressing and as to date Jennifer has sent out 102 violation letters. A future goal includes reiuorking the codes to be more easily understood and workable. Budget: No new expenses were added to the budget for the Health Department. t'loney was added to Chemicals in i'iosquito Control as the new pesticides which include bacterial and time release products are much more expensive than traditional chemicals. The Board ioas also brociqht up to date on the alternative methods of biological control (bat boxes). The next meeting is set for September 15, 1994 in City Hall at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was adjourned at 5:37 p,m. "lmproving Our Quality Of Life"
