Be c ki Bu rman 5:35 p.m. (.onsumer Health Services: Stephanie discussed the merge between the Department of Aqriculture and the Department of Health to form €,onsumer Health Services. John i'lisock, Assistant Commissioner of Aqriculture, formed statewide director meetinqs to unite different areas of Health and Aqriculture. In was also mentioned that no one is completely happy with the new FDA Food code, as of now we are just waitiru:) to see what happens. f'lobile Home Park: The board was brought up to date on the closure of several mobile homes in an Albany County l'iobile Home Park due to a failed septic system. The residents of three mobile homes were evicted until systems can be brought into compliance, Western Equine Encephalitis: The board was informed of several cases of li)estern Equine Encephalitis in Idyominq. CD(, has confirmed two cases and has five cases pending. It was mentioned that Culex is the species mostly responsible for vectoring the disease, which is not prevalent in Laramie. f'losquito Proqram Wrap-up: Stephanie commented on the abnormally qood weather iuhich was a partial reason the mosquito season ran smoothly. Ranchers only flood irrigated once because of the river beiru:) so 10W therefore, we only suffered one hatch, Time release products were used early in the season to control larva for up to 150 days. Research is still beinq conducted to determine why the Northeast has hioher numbers of mosquitoes.
