CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 5:01 p.m. by Carole Hing. ROLL CALL Members present: Carole Hing, Dr. Linda Yost, Dr. Becki Burman Staff present: Stephanie Whitman Environmental Health Director Others present: Alice Swett Council Liaison II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. APPROVAL OF MINUTES On motion, minutes of the September 21 1995 meeting were approved as distributed. Ill. OLD BUSINESS A. Presentation on the 201 Process given by Andy Kasehagen, Albany County Planning Director The Board was informed on the 201 planning process within Albany County. On motion, the decision was made to continue current uninvolved status in the 201 process. "lmproving Our Quality Of Life"  Radon Program Update The Board was informed that Council approved the Environmental Health Department to enter into an agreement with the State to begin radon program. The State will reimburse the Environmental Health Department for 50% of all staff hours up to $2,500.00, as well as, providing the test kits for free. A brief overview of the program was discussed and the goals for the program were stated as: providing test kits, providing counseling and to assist the public in making educated decisions regarding testing and mitigation. iv. NEW BUSINESS A. Report on the joint Epidemiology/Foodborne Illness Investigation team The Board was informed on the planning efforts of inter-agency team involving in investing cases of Foodborne Illness. The Laramie Environmental Health Department was identified as the lead agency for Foodborne Illness investigation. B, Report on Laramie Environmental Health Department budget shortfall strategies and revenue projections. The Board was brought up to date on the current status of the budget projections. Ms. Whitman informed the Board of the options available to reach projection goals. The next meeting of the City of Laramie Board of Health will convene on Thursday, March 21, 1995 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.
