CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7:05 a.m. by Carole Hing. ROLL CALL Members present: Dr. Linda Yost, Dianna Esteve, Carole Hing, Becki Burman DDS Staff present: Stephanie Whitman Environmental Health Director Others present: Alice Swett I Council Liaison II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA The agenda was approved. APPROVAL OF MINUTES On motion, minutes of the March 21, 1996 meeting were read and approved as distributed Ill. OLD BUSINESS A. Relations between Hospital Emergency Room/Environmental Health Department Ms. Whitman indicated that the relations with the hospital Emergency Room and the Environmental Health continues to be improve. She indicated that the interaction on the recent E-Coli cases had been successful. "lmproving Our Quality Of Life" IV. NEW BUSINESS A. E-Coli update given by Stephanie Whitman Ms. Whitman discussed the recent E-Coli cases. She indicated that a definite source was not identified in either case. Discussion was held regarding the continued follow-up of these and all cases. Ms. Esteve suggested that the Laramie Environmental Health follow-up with the local physician B. Opening communication on a county wide basis Ms. Whitman indicated that in the future she would like to pursue combining the Agriculture Departments, Consumer Health Specialist with the City Environmental Health Department to facilitate communication and the flow of information on a county wide basis. She indicated she will open discussions with the new Director of the Consumer Health Services, affer he has settled in. C. 1996MosquitoControlSeason Ms. Whitman discussed the 1996 Mosquito Control season. She said the marked release program had not been successful due to late delivery of dye. She did feel that the program would be ready to go on time for the 1997 season. Dr. Yost stated that she felt it was a better year and asked for trap count data. Ms. Whitman indicated that the trap counts were not yet complete, but that preliminary data indicated that although the season was extended, the peak numbers were not as high as previous years D. The next meeting will be Thursday January 16, 1997 at 7:00 a.m. in Ivinson Memorial Hospital. The actual room location will be determined at a later date.
