Requests from person with disabilities must be made to the Community Development Department 48 hours in advance of the meeting. 1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Meeting convened at 6:22 PM Members present: David Milam, Aaron Taff, Beth Young (Chair) Members absent: Jean Allais There was a quorum present at all times. Staff Present: Jerry Hankin, Mary Murrieta, Kathleen Wickersham City Council Liaison: Lee Kempert (absent) 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MINUTES 2-A. AGENDA: Changes and Approval of Agenda for October 17, 2013 meeting. MOTION BY MILAM, second by Taff, to approve the Agenda, as written. Aye: 3 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 2-B. MINUTES: Thursday, September 19, 2013, Board of Health Minutes MOTION BY TAFF, second by Milam, to approve the September 19, 2013 Minutes, as written. Aye: 3 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 3. DISCLOSURES None 4. BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS 4-A. Review of Monthly Inspections i. September 13, 2013 – October 10, 2013 The Board reviewed and discussed the establishments on the monthly inspection report. 4-B. Winter Farmer’s Market The winter farmer’s markets will be held at the Lincoln Community Center on the second Saturday of each month and will run now through April 2014. Tattoo Regulations The City Attorney will be contacted to get his legal opinion on whether tattoo establishments can make and keep copies of the customer’s ID with their tattoo application. Murrieta suggested that the customer sign a consent form regarding the retainment of the ID information. Staff members and Board members will contact various sources for answers and return the findings to the Board. 5. TRAINING 5-A. Training Updates i. Murrieta attended the Wyoming Environmental Health Association (WEHA) and Wyoming Food Safety Council (WFSC) annual education conference in Jackson on October 8-10, 2013. Mario Seminara, Rocky Mountain Region Retail Food Safety Specialist was unable to attend due to the Federal Government shut down. A discussion was held on food security gaps. Murrieta was told about new software for inspections, the purchase price is approximately $1,600 and license fees. The software can be customized and runs on a Chromebook (purchase price approximately $250). The Environmental Health Specialist may go to Cheyenne and see firsthand how the new software works. 6. DATE OF NEXT REGULAR MEETING The next regular meeting is scheduled for November 21, 2013. 7. ADJOURN MOTION BY MILAM, second by Taff, to adjourn the meeting. Aye: 3 Nay: 0 Motion carried.
