Requests from person with disabilities must be made to the Community Development Department 24 hours in advance of the meeting. 1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Meeting convened at 6:20 PM Members present: Jean Allais, Becce Ford, Aaron Taff and Beth Young-Jones (Vice-Chair) Members absent: David Milam (Chair), There was a quorum present at all times. Staff Present: Mary Murrieta and Karen Tangeman City Council Liaison: Andrea Summerville (absent) 2. ELECTION FOR OFFICERS FOR 2015 2-A. Chairman MOTION BY ALLAIS, second by Taff, to elect David Milam as Chair of the Board of Health. Aye: 4 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 2-B. Vice-Chairman MOTION BY YOUNG, second by Allais, to elect Becce Ford as Vice-Chair of the Board of Health. Aye: 4 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MINUTES 3-A. AGENDA: Approval of the Agenda for the April 16, 2015 meeting. MOTION BY TAFF, second by Allais, to approve the Agenda as written. Aye: 4 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 3-B. MINUTES: Thursday, August 21, 2014, Board of Health Minutes MOTION BY ALLAIS, second by Taff, to approve the Minutes from the August 21, 2014 Board of Health meeting as written. MINUTES: Thursday, January 15, 2015, Board of Health Minutes MOTION BY TAFF, second by Allais, to postpone the approval of the Minutes from the January 15, 2015 meeting until the next meeting. Aye: 4 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 4. BOARD OF HEALTH AND STAFF: REPORTS AND COMMENTS No reports or comments 5. DISCLOSURES No disclosures 6. BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS 6-A. Review of Inspections i. February 13, 2015 – March 12, 2015 ii. March 13, 2015 – April 9, 2015 The Board reviewed and discussed the establishments on the monthly inspection report. Murrieta answered questions and provided additional information on various establishments. OLD BUSINESS 6-B. Board Procedures in Relation to Wyoming State Statutes and Regulations Murrieta shared that Council Liaison Summerville had been in contact with the interim City Attorneys regarding the Board’s desire to update pertinent Ordinances and their bylaws. The interim City Attorneys and the new City Attorney Jason Loos will be glad to assist the Board with updating those documents. 6-C. Bylaws The Board made recommendation for changes and updates to the document entitled Rules and Regulations of City of Laramie Board of Health (Revised January 2003). 6-D. FDA Standards Volunteer Program In May, Murrieta will be attending an FD 112 Food Code Course in Riverton, WY. She will receive CEU for attending this training. Wyoming Food Freedom Act The Wyoming Legislature passed HB0056, creating the Wyoming Food Freedom Act, W.S. 11- 49-101 through 11-49-103, which became effective March 3, 2015. The Board received a handout from the Wyoming Department of Agriculture that provided general information regarding the Wyoming Food Freedom Act. 7. DATE OF NEXT REGULAR MEETING - MAY 21, 2015 8.
