Requests from person with disabilities must be made to the Community Development Department 24 hours in advance of the meeting. 1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Meeting convened at 6:20 PM Members present: Jean Allais, Becce Ford (Vice-Chair) and Beth Young-Jones Members absent: David Milam (Chair) and Aaron Taff There was a quorum present at all times. Staff Present: Jason Loos, Mary Murrieta and Kathleen Wickersham City Council Liaison: Vicki Henry (absent) 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MINUTES 2-A. AGENDA: Approval of the Agenda for the June 18, 2015 meeting Move New Business item 5-A. Ramada Inn to be heard prior to the other agenda items. MOTION BY YOUNG-JONES, second by Allais, to approve the Agenda of the June 18, 2015 Board of Health meeting as amended. Aye: 3 Nay: 0 Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS 5-A. Ramada Inn Murrieta gave an overview of the history with health issues at the Ramada Inn. At a recent follow- up inspection Murrieta invited the Manager of the Ramada Inn to the June 18th Board of Health meeting. Ramada’s General Manager, Mindi Gray addressed the Board. She stated that Eagle Plumbing was scheduled to check out the problems with the pool on Friday, June 19th at 1 PM. Gray announced that she was registered to take the CPO course on July 20, 2015 in Casper. Ramada Inn’s Main Manger, Ledoandro Rayos informed the Board that the pool filters will be replaced and the chemical levels in the spa and pool will be maintained. The Managers want the facilities to be in good running condition by Jubilee Days. The Board instructed the Managers of the Ramada Inn to fax or email the Environmental Health Specialist weekly pool chemical levels. The Board wanted an update on Monday, June 22nd regarding the plumber’s report and chemical test. Murrieta will make monthly inspections for the next six (6) months and report back to the Board. BOARD OF HEALTH AND STAFF: REPORTS AND COMMENTS The Board was informed that Council Liaison Andrea Summerville will no longer be the liaison to the Board of Health. That due to a scheduling conflict, she and Vicki Henry have changed Boards. Vicki Henry is the new Council Liaison to the Board of Health and she notified the clerk that she was unable to attend the June meeting. 4. DISCLOSURES No disclosures 5. BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS 5-A. Ramada Inn This items was moved up in the agenda, see item 5-A. Ramada Inn after 2-A. Changes and Approval of Agenda. 5-B. Review of Inspections i. May 15, 2015 - June 11, 2015 The Board reviewed and discussed the establishments on the monthly inspection report. Murrieta answered questions and provided additional information on various establishments. OLD BUSINESS 5-C. Board Procedures in Relation to Wyoming State Statutes and Regulations The new City Attorney Jason Loos attended the meeting. He agrees that DDS is fine for DDM and the same for a doctor. He stated that he would look into getting the State Statutes updated. 5-D. Bylaws Once the Board’s Bylaws (Rules and Regulations of City of Laramie Board of Health (Revised January 2003) are updated the Board needs to formally approve them. 5-E. Farmers Market Wyoming Food Freedom Act (WFFA) foods are being allowed at the Thursday Farmer’s Market (in Undine Park). WFFA vendors are displaying notification that the products are not made in regulated kitchens. 6. DATE OF NEXT REGULAR MEETING – AUGUST 20, 2015 7.
