City Council Special Meeting Draft Minutes Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 5:00 PM 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village, Michigan 48076 1. Call to Order by Mayor Garrett at @5:05 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present: Mayor Mykale Garrett Council members: Councilmember Jennings, Mayor Pro Tem Kantor, Councilmember Kenez, Councilmember Miller, Present: Interim City Administrators, Pam Bratschi, Susan Stec, Chief Scott McKee, City Government Operations Assistant, Kelda London. City Attorney, Scott Baker, attended the meeting remotely. 3. Pledge of Allegiance 4. Approval of Agenda Motion by Councilmember Jennings to approve the agenda; motion seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Kantor. Yes: Jennings, Kenez, Miller, Garrett, Kantor No: None Motion carried. 5. Public Comments for Items on the Agenda (Speakers are limited to 3 minutes) Mayor Garrett read comments from Bruce Copus – Administration staff cost as it related to the PY 2022/2023 budget. 6. Requests - For Consideration / Approval A. New City Administrator Salary discussion City Attorney Baker gave a brief overview of the discussion between he and Susan Montenegro regarding proposed contract. There was discussion related to salary, health care, severance package and sick leave. 27400 Southfield Rd | Southfield, MI 48076 | 248.557.2600 | www.lathrupvillage.org  City Attorney was then directed to send a draft copy of the contract to Council to make sure all the bases were covered. 7. Public Comment (speakers are limited to 3 minutes) None 8. Mayor and Council Comments Mayor Pro Tem Kantor reported that he and Interim Administrator Stec met with OHM (the water lose consultant), they have provided a report that states that with 90% likelihood that the water loss is due to an oversized meter. The next step is for OHM to assist with getting a quote to replace the 12-inch meter with a 6-inch mag meter. Councilmember Miller asked when registration for city wide garage sale begin; why the police information is not listed on the MML report, Chief McKee is not sure why that is the case; and when will the tea room trip expenditures be available, Interim Administrator Stec will provide the information at the next meeting. Councilmember Jennings gave a brief report on the success of the Juneteenth event. He thanked all who participated. 9. Adjourn Councilmember Jennings motioned to adjourn the meeting.
