City Council Study Session Minutes Monday, April 18, 2022 at 6:00 PM 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village, Michigan 48076 1. Call to Order by Mayor Garrett at 6:01 p.m. 2. Discussion Items A. House in the Woods update John Rudd presented an update on the House in the woods. There have been 15 client views, 110 parties interested and 235 emails sent to interested parties. Council may be interested in lower the price of the property to generate more interest. Mr. Ruud is recommending Council lower the price to $160,00 - $170,000. B. Council Meetings in the Community Room Lathrup Village Council asked for a detailed cost of moving the Council meeting to the Community Room. The current cost the produce Council meetings in Council Chambers is $310 and $56 for every hour over 2 for labor cost. The cost to hold Council meetings in the Community Room is $1,175 and $82 for every hour over 2 for labor cost. That cost does not include Zoom, so there would not be the option for attendees to remote into the meeting. C. Tower lease/buy-out discussion After discussion Council decided to amend the Council Regular meeting agenda and add the tower lease/buy-out as an action item. D. Breakfast with the Bunny Budget Summary Interim Administrator Bratschi presented a summary of the breakfast with the bunny event. Stating that it was a good event. E. Council - Staff Relations Attorney Baker explained that it’s very important that Council understand their role. It’s not appropriate for Council member to direct the day-to-day operations of City Hall.
