City Council Study Session Meeting Minutes Monday, September 26, 2022, at 6:00 PM 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village, Michigan 48076 1. Call to Order by Mayor Garrett at 6:00 pm 2. Discussion Items A. Ethics Ordinance Discussion Council was presented with a revised copy of the previously discussed Ethics Ordinance, an additional draft example from Councilmember Kenez, and additional comments from Councilmember Miller. Several discussion items were moved to the Council Procedure Document. B. Water Loss Investigation - Phase II Rhett Grownefelt, of OHM explained the proposed process and cost to clamp on the existing meter to determine if they can locate a leak. The cost of this project is $10,000 in consultant fees and an additional $1,700 for the testing and the process. 3. Public Comments Ann Sousanis - Interested in the House in the Woods discussion Mary Moix – Made the statement that political/recall meetings are ethical. Lauren Bares – Questioned why some Councilmembers have a problem with the Ethics Ordinance 4. Mayor and Council Comments Mayor Garrett stated that the Ethics Ordinance is something that other cities do have and Lathrup Village should adopt, as well. Councilmember Miller stated Lathrup Village does have an Ethics Ordinance already in place and is unsure why all of these extra things need to be added. 5.
