COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG
April 9, 2015
The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present:
Council Member Fox, Mayor Keith Durham, Council Member Moore and Council Member Sevier.
Council Member Williams was absent.
With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the
Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion to approve the minutes of the March 26, 2015 Council Meeting was made by Council Member
Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore.
Mayor Durham invited everyone to be at the Fire House Subs presentation on the square at 10 a.m. this
morning.
City Administrator, Chris Shaffer informed the Council of the Community Clean-Up Project with
applications due by April 24; the possibility of creating a Frisbee Golf Course at Scout Park; and we
may use some laborers through the South Central Tennessee Work Force Alliance. That program is an
8 week period for low cost labor for anyone that uses them.
LUS Financials for February 2015 have been accepted and reviewed.
RESOLUTION(S)
A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LAWRENCEBURG TO AUTHORIZE THE REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND ROPOSALS
FROM PROFESSIONAL AUDIO/VIDEO PRODUCERS FOR THE PRODUCION OF VIDEOS
PERTAINING TO THE HISTORY OF JAMES D. VAUGHAN TO BE SHOWN IN THE JAMES D.
VAUGHAN MUSEUM
Motion to approve was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Sevier.
Motion passed unanimously.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO DECLARE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT AS SURPLUS TO BE SOLD AT AUCTION ON
THE WEB
Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox.
Motion passed unanimously.
A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LAWRENCEBURG TO AUTHORIZE THE REQUEST FOR BIDS FOR ALL NECESSARY WORK
TOWARD THE REPAIR OF SPRINGER ROAD
Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier.
Motion passed unanimously.
With no further business to come before the board motion was made by Council Member Moore to
adjourn, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed.
Meeting adjourned.
