COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG February 9, 2017 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Fox, Mayor Keith Durham, Council Member Sevier, Council Member Moore, and Council Member Williams. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the January 26, 2017 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor Durham wants to implement a “Spring Clean Up” for Lawrenceburg. City Administrator has been charged with making this happen. LUS Financials for December 2016 have been presented. RESOLUTIONS A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO AUTHORIZE THE REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND PROPOSALS FROM PROFESSIONAL REAL ESTATE BROKERS TO LIST AND SELL CERTAIN PROPERTIES BELONGING TO THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams with a motion by Council Member Robin Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH JERRY W. REYNOLDS AS ARCHITECT FOR THE LPRF GRANT FOR ADA COMPLIANCE AT ROTARY PARK Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ATTACHED LIST OF NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS BY THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG DURING THE 2016-2017 FISCAL YEAR Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO APPLY TO THE STATE OF TENNESSEE TO BECOME A CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT (CLG) Motion to approve was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO DECLARE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AS SURPLUS TO BE SOLD AT AUCTION ON THE WEB Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore with a second by Council Member Fox. Meeting adjourned.
