COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG June 28, 2018 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Fox, Council Member Williams, Mayor Durham and Council Member Sevier. Council Member Moore was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the June 14, 2018 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. Motion to approve the minutes of the June 27, 2018 Special Called Meeting was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor Durham welcomed Boy Scout Troup 264 and 265. They are working toward their Citizenship Merit Badges City Administrator, Chris Shaffer introduced Chaz Morrow, our new IT Employee. Rachel Grigsby with the Chamber of Commerce made a presentation concerning the activities for Freedom Fest, the new version of Liberty Days. ORDINANCE NO. 1235 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1207 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2017-2018 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE CODES DEPARTMENT. Second and Final Reading Motion to approve on final reading was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1236 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1207 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2017-2018 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE POLICE DEPARTMENT. Second and Final Reading Motion to approve on final reading was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously ORDINANCE NO. 1237 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 789 ENTITLED THE “ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE” First Reading Motion to approve of first reading was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1238 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 789 ENTITLED THE “ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE” First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Williams. Mayor Durham abstained from voting declaring he is affiliated with the property owner, but not the project. Ordinance Number 1238 passed first reading with three voting aye. ORDINANCE NO. 1239 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1207 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2017-2018 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS. – Second and Final Reading Motion to approve on final reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTIONS A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO DECLARE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AS SURPLUS TO BE SOLD IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG PURCHASING POLICY Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second y Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Meeting adjourned.
