COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG September 27, 2018 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Fox, Council Member Williams, Council Member Sevier, and Mayor Durham. Council Member Moore was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the September 13, 2018 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor announced the closing of city offices on Monday, October 8 in observance of Columbus Day. ORDINANCE NUMBER 1244 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1-101 OF THE LAWRENCEBURG MUNICIPAL CODE AND TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 916 AND 962 TO ESTABLISH THE ANNUAL SALARY OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG – Second and Final Reading Motion to approve on second and final reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second y Council Member Fox. Motion passed A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO ALLOW THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO ENTER INTO A SHORT TERM LEASE AGREEMENT WITH CRAIG MANUFACTURING Motion to approve was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO AUTHORIZE THE LAWRENCEBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT TO APPLY FOR AN ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT (AFG) TO PURCHASE FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR JMCM CONSULTING TO APPLY FOR AND ADMINISTER SAID GRANT Motion to approve was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO AUTHORIZE THE LAWRENCEBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT TO REQUEST BIDS FOR ASSORTED FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. Resolution concerning ownership of certain streets was deferred. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Meeting adjourned. Meeting adjourned.
