COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG June 27, 2019 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Mayor Lay, Council Member Fox, Council Member Williams, Council Member Sevier and Council Member Moore. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the June 13, 2019 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. Main Street Director, Baylee Fincher reported on the Freedom Fest Event at Rotary Park Friday. Police Chief, Terry Beecham reported on the new cell phone law effective July 1, 2019 City Administrator, Chris Shaffer informed the Council we have been awarded a Historic Preservation Grant for repair at the Crockett Theater; beginning July 1 the Driver License Center in our building will have the ability to renew hand gun permits; and we are in the process of stenciling garbage carts so the residents can place the carts correctly on the street for pick up with the new automated garbage trucks. ORDINANCE(S) ORDINANCE NO. 1273 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1241 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2018-2019 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION GRANT NUMBERS EMW-2017-FF-00261 AND EMW-2017-FF-00123 – Second and Final Reading Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1274 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1241 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2018-2019 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR EQUIPMENT GRANT NUMBER EMW-2017-FO-01204 Second and Final Reading Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO PARTNER WITH MAIN STREET FOR THE RENTAL OF THE DOWNTOWN LAWRENCEBURG GAZEBO Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned.
