COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG July 11, 2019 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Mayor Lay, Council Member Fox, Council Member Williams and Council Member Sevier. Council Member Moore was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the June 27, 2019 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. Main Street Director, Baylee Fincher reported on the Freedom Fest Event at Rotary Park. Parks and Recreation Director, Pam Kemp, reported on the play Oklahoma at the Theater starting this week end. Rayan reported on the Economic Development Report that was scheduled for this Friday. It has been changed to next Thursday at Columbia State Community College as the Theater was not available to them this Friday. LUS Financials for May, 2019 had been received and accepted. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH CGI COMMUNICATIONS, INC. TO UPDATE VIDEOS TO BE DISPLAYED ON THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG’S WEB SITE Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO AMEND RESOLUTION NUMBER 2015-22-1E; AND RESOLUTION NUMBER 2017-14-9E AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF TENNESSEE DRIVER SERVICES DIVISION TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY TO INCLUDE THE RENEWAL OF GUN PERMITS Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO EXCLUDE FUTURE PART-TIME EMPLOYEES FROM THE POLITICAL SUBDIVISION’S PARTICIPATION IN THE TENNESSEE CONSOLIDATED RETIREMENT SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH TENNESSEE CODE ANNOTATED, SECTION 8-35-219. Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned.
