COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG September 24, 2020 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The meeting was also held by teleconference. The following members were present: Council Member Sevier, Council Member Moore and Council Member Williams, and Mayor Lay. Council Member Fox was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Special prayer for Council Member Fox; whom had a medical call this morning. Motion to approve the minutes of the September 10, 2020 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. Shayne Adams was presented a retirement award for over 28 years of service to the Lawrenceburg Fire Department. Fire Chief Moore presented Shayne Adams with a bugle trophy as a retirement present from the men and woman in the Fire Department. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, MORE SPECIFICALLY AGREEMENT NO: 200167, STATE PROJECT NO: 50001-3278-04 LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM AGREEMENT FOR SIGNAL MAINTENANCE Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO ENTER INTO A VOLUNTARY CONDEMNATION AGREEMENT Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE APPROVING AN ECONOMIC IMPACT PLAN FOR THE BEST WESTERN PLUS HOTEL PROJECT Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE “SAFETY PARTNERS” LOSS CONTROL MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM THROUGH PUBLIC ENTITY PARTNERS Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO APPOINT MARTY BRADLEY TO COMPLETE THE TERM OF BAYLEE FINCHER ON THE LAWRENCEBURG HISTORICAL ZONING COMMISSION Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams.
