COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG May 27, 2021 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The meeting was also held by teleconference. The following members were present: Council Member Sevier, Council Member Williams, Mayor Lay and Council Member Moore. Council Member Fox was absent With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the May 13, 2021 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Moore with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. City Offices closed Monday, May 31 for Memorial Day and the annual Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at Veterans Park at 6 PM. LUS Financials for April, 2021 are accepted. ORDINANCE(S) ORDINANCE NUMBER 1310 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO AMEND ORDINANCE 955, 991, 1063 AND 1141 AND TO REPEAL CHAPTER 4 IN ITS ENTIRETY AND AMEND CERTAIN TITLES OF THE LAWRENCEBURG MUNICIPAL CODE, TO WIT; TITLE 12, CHAPTER 9 AND TO ADOPT INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL CODE 2018 EDITION, TO AMEND OR REPEAL ORDINANCES OR PARTIAL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH Second Reading Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1311 AN ORDINANCE FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO AMEND TITLE 3, CHAPTER 4, SECTION 3-401 AND SECTION 3- 402 OF THE LAWRENCEBURG MUNICIPAL CODE AND ORDINANCES # 794, 895, 911, 969, 986, 1036, 1114 & 1301 AND TO ESTABLISH AND INCREASE A BILL OF COST FOR SPEEDING, COMPUTER CHARGE AND ALL OTHER INFRACTIONS OF THE LAW AS RELATED TO THE LAWRENCEBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT; REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, EFFECTIVE DATE. Second Reading Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1312 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1293 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2020-2021 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE GENERAL FUND. First Reading Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed with Council Member Moore abstaining as he is now the 911 Director. RESOLUTION(S) RESOLUTIONS A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH LAWRENCE COUNTY, TENNESSEE FOR THE SHARING OF SALARIES AND BENEFITS FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE LAWRENCE COUNTY SOLID WASTE SYSTEM Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed.
