COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG July 8, 2021 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Sevier, Council Member Williams, Mayor Lay and Council Members Moore. Council Member Fox was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the June 24, 2021 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Moore with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. LUS Financials for May, 2021 were accepted. Chris Bryant was presented his certificate from the State of Tennessee on Commercial Building Inspector. Attorney Alan Betz opened the Public Hearing on Ordinance Number 1317 and with no one wishing to address the Council on the Ordinance, the hearing closed. ORDINANCE(S) ORDINANCE NO. 1317 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROVE THE 2021-2022 ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG – Second Reading Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTIONS A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO APPLY FOR DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENT GRANT THROUGH THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $150,000.00 Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed.
