COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG November 10, 2021 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. Meeting was not held electronically. The following members were present: Council Member Sevier, Mayor Lay, and Council Member Moore, Council Member Williams. Council Member Fox was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the October 28, 2021 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Sevier with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. Sammy McConnell received a retirement award for 30 years of service to the Lawrenceburg Police Department. Police Chief, Terry Beecham, introduced the newest Police Officer, Evan Robins. We got him from the Columbia Police Department. Council Member Sevier complimented the Police Department on the way they handle funeral processions; being respectful of the deceased and their family. Visitors have commented to him their gratitude for the way we handle funerals. ORDINANCE(S) ORDINANCE NO. 1326 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1293 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE CAPITAL PROJECTS. Final Reading Motion to approve on final reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NUMBER 1327 AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF HOOD LAKES ROAD DRIVE IN THE HOOD HILLS SUBDIVISION; RETENTION OF UTILITY EASEMENTS; REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; EFFECTIVE DATE. Final Reading Motion to approve on final reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor announced that we will not have another Council Meeting until December, as we cancelled the one on Thanksgiving. Parks Director, Pam Hyde, reminded the Council of the Spirit of Santa Breakfast December, 3 from 7am until 9 am at the Parks Office. It will be for one day only. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned.
