COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG July 28, 2022 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Sevier, and Council Member Williams. Council Member Moore and Mayor Lay Council Member Fox was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the July 14, 2022 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Moore a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. The 6 year old and 7 year old Cal Ripken State Tournament Winners were presented awards from the Mayor and Council on their excellent season. Chris Shaffer was presented a Retirement Award for over 24 years of service as a Police Officer and City Administrator. Gary Hyde gave a short presentation on the development of the City’s Demolition Landfill. A Public Hearing was opened on Ordinance 1340, with no one wishing to address the council on Budget Ordinance No. 1340, the hearing closed. ORDINANCE(S) 1340 –AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET AND TAX RATE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY1, 2022 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2023 – Second Reading Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously 1341 - AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 789 ENTITLED THE “ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE” Warner Depot Street First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously 1343 - AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 789 ENTITLED THE “ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE” AND TO AMEND THE LAWRENCEBURG MUNICIPAL CODE; TITLE 14; CHAPTER 2: SECTION 14-201. LAND USE TO BE GOVERNED BY ZONING ORDINANCE – First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO ACCEPT THE BID OF POWER SUPPLY COMPANY LLC, CHATTANOOGA, TN FOR THE PURCHASE OF LED STREET LIGHTS IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED THIRTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($113,150.00) CONTINGENT UPON THE APPROVAL OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed.
