COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG July 14, 2022 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Sevier, and Council Member Williams. Council Member Moore and Mayor Lay Council Member Fox was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the June 23, 2022 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. LUS Financials for May, 2022 were accepted. ORDINANCE(S) 1340 –AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET AND TAX RATE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY1, 2022 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2023 – First Reading Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed Public Hearing and second reading will be on July 28th meeting agenda. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO ENTER INTO A PART TIME POLICE DEPARTMENT SUPPORT AGREEMENT WITH JOHN SANDERS Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO REAPPOINT TIM PETTUS AS LAWRENCEBURG’S REPRESENTATIVE ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE TENNESSEE SOUTHERN HIGHER EDUCATION CENTER Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO REAPPOINT CURTIS PETERS AS THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG’S REPRESENTATIVE ON THE SENIOR CITIZENS BOARD Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO APPOINT MICHAEL CRANE TO THE BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES. Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed.
