COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG July 11, 2024 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Williams, Council Member Moore, Mayor Lay and Council Member Sevier. Council Member Story was absent. With a quorum present Mayor Lay called the meeting to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the June 27, 2024 minutes was made by Council Member Williams with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. There was no one signed in to speak concerning the agenda. City Administrator, Dick McKinley, thanked all the volunteers for their participation in the fireworks show. The radio station for coordinating the music and the Band Boosters for concessions. City employees volunteered their time to help make the show successful. ORDINANCES ORDINANCE NO. 1408 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1404 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2024-2025 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE GENERAL FUND –First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. City Administrator informed the Council that the City of Lawrenceburg grading and paving of streets will begin soon. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO AUTHORIZE THE APPLICATION OF A UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SAFE STREETS AND ROADS FOR ALL (SS4A) GRANT Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. With no other business to come before the Board a motion was made by Council Member Moore to adjourn with a second by Council Member Sevier.
