HERITAGE TRAIL MEDALLION COMMITTEE MINUTES Tuesday, September 17, 2019 Council Assembly Room 5:00 PM 70 S. Clayton St, GA 30046 Call to Order Lisa Sherman called the meeting to order at 5:05 pm PRESENT Committee Member Nancy Price Committee Member Mary Long Committee Member Gloria James Committee Member Theresa Bailey ABSENT Committee Member Elliott Brack Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes 1. August 19, 2019 Regular Meeting Approval Motion made by Committee Member James, Seconded by Committee Member Price. Voting Yea: Committee Member Price, Committee Member Long, Committee Member James, Committee Member Bailey General Discussion 2. Update on City Projects Lisa Sherman updated the Committee on the projects in the City and showed a video about the City of Lawrenceville. 3. Discussion of Existing Heritage Plaques on the Lawrenceville Square – for reference only 4. Discussion of Existing Heritage Trail Medallions - for reference only 5. Discussion of Former Nominees for Heritage Trail Medallions Motion to remove Nathan Louis Hutchins II and Nathan Louis Hutchins III from medallion consideration made by Committee Member Price, Seconded by Committee Member Bailey. Voting Yea: Committee Member Price, Committee Member Long, Committee Member James, Committee Member Bailey. Lisa Sherman reminded the Committee that possible nominees for consideration should be pioneers in the shaping of Lawrenceville whether by assisting with the City’s progress, growth, development, or history. The goal is to tell the story of Lawrenceville by telling the stories of the people who shaped it. Committee discussed various people for consideration. The list of those the Committee wishes to be added or kept on the list of possible nominees are listed below. No official vote was taken on this list as of yet.  Annette Williams Tucker – add her husband, Hubert Tucker, Sr. – consider medallion for the couple  Major William E.
