Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM recognizing a quorum.
Approval of Agenda
Motion to approve the agenda was made by Commission Member Fellows, Seconded by Commission
Member Stone-Collins.
Voting Yea: Commission Member Fellows, Commission Member Chitwood, Commission Member
Stone-Collins, Commission Member Sanders, Commission Member Alhabashi
Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes
1. Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes
Motion to approve prior meeting minutes was made by Commission Member Chitwood,
Seconded by Commission Member Stone-Collins.
Voting Yea: Commission Member Fellows, Commission Member Chitwood, Commission
Member Stone-Collins, Commission Member Sanders, Commission Member Alhabashi
General Discussion
2. Paver Art
Mark Olivito, owner of PaverART Enterprises, LLC joined the meeting via zoom and shared
about the company, its mission, and other art commissions that they have worked with. A
discussion ensued between Mark and commission members with their being a better
understanding of how paver art can enhance art in the community.
3. Aurora Theatre Chalk Walk Event
Al Stilo, Director of Sales and Programming for the Aurora Theatre, shared about upcoming
programming for the Aurora Theatre in conjunction with their upcoming show. Aurora
Theatre presented the Chalk Walk Competition event that is to be hosted on August 6th and
the request to partner with the Lawrenceville Arts Commission. The Arts Commission has not
developed its sponsorship process and Aura Leigh shared that they would not be able to
provide funding for the event however, they could be involved in other ways. Al shared the
possibility of having the commission members judge the competition, set up a booth, and
assist with recruiting.
Motion to partner with the Aurora Theatre on the Chalk Walk event was made by Commission
Member Stone-Collins, Seconded by Commission Member Fellows.

4. Budget
Jasmine Billings shared an updated budget with the commission. This will help guide the
commission members in their discussion of projects.
5. Branding Committee
Commission members discussed purchasing branded items to better promote the Arts
Commission during events and outreach opportunities. Items such as stickers and t-shirts
were initially requested, and the commission voted on a threshold of $750 to be the max
spending limit for staff.
Motion to approve a $750 spending limit was made by Commission Member Fellows,
Seconded by Commission Member Chitwood.

6. Grants Committee
Aura-Leigh Sanders presented and shared that the grants committee would be meeting soon
to discuss the creation of an Arts Grant and sponsorship.
7. Community Outreach Committee
Alice Stone-Collins shared about community outreach and the upcoming events that were in
need of volunteers. There was a discussion about the need for lights for the tent as the events
beginning in the fall will be during the evening, and the sun will go down earlier.
8. Community Mural
The Arts Commission finalized a list of (11) potential artists that could paint the mural located
along Jackson street. The details were reviewed and Jasmine and Aura Leigh created an
email to share with the list of artists with details pertaining to the mural. Arts commission
extended the deadline to August.
9. GA Mural Trail
Jasmine Billings presented a rough draft of the mural and shared the design with the Arts
Commission. Members reviewed and shared several edits to be shared with the muralist.
